Outline

  1. What is Sealcoating?

Pavement is aggregate held by asphalt cement. A sealer coat is described as a shield against water, oil, and sun, and as slip-resistant when it is applied to the maker's spec.

  2. Application cautions in the primer

The page's own rules are at least two coats, a temperature window, and no application when rain is coming. The exact limits are on the source page.

  3. How often

The primer's cycle is every two to three years, timed so oxidation does not get ahead of the coat.
